All around the world, almost 40% of the food we produce never gets eaten. Beyond being a  conscience issue, this is also a major contributor to climate change. In fact, if all the food wasted in the world was a country, it would rank third amongst the world's leading producers of greenhouse gases.


Preventing food wastage is one of the easiest things that we can do to combat climate change. On a closer look, most of our food wastage can be tracked back to our inattentiveness and improper purchase planning.


Food wastage can be reduced by acknowledging people who are consuming more, depending on their consumption patterns.
